Faith Cars Drivers’ Code of Conduct

At Faith Cars, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and professional service to all our passengers. As a driver representing Faith Cars, it is essential that you uphold our values and standards at all times. The following Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour and responsibilities of our drivers.

1. Professionalism

  • Punctuality: Always arrive on time for pickups and notify the passenger if you are running late
  • Dress Code: Maintain a neat, clean, and presentable appearance at all times. Appropriate attire includes clean clothing and proper footwear
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep your vehicle clean, both inside and out, and ensure it is well maintained and roadworthy
  • Communication: Be polite, courteous, and respectful in all interactions with passengers, other road users, and colleagues.

2. Safety

  • Driving Standards: Adhere to all road traffic laws, drive safely, and prioritise the comfort and safety of passengers
  • Seatbelts: Ensure that all passengers wear seatbelts at all times
  • No Distracted Driving: Refrain from using mobile phones or other devices while driving unless using a hands free system
  • Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with and follow all emergency protocols in case of an accident or other incident.

3. Passenger Experience

  • Respect and Inclusion: Treat all passengers with respect, regardless of their background, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or any other characteristic
  • Assistance: Offer reasonable assistance to passengers with luggage or those who may need help entering or exiting the vehicle
  • Route Planning: Use the most efficient and direct route to the destination unless the passenger requests otherwise
  • Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of passengers and keep all conversations and personal details confidential.

4. Ethics and Integrity

  • Honesty: Do not engage in dishonest practices, such as overcharging or taking unnecessarily long routes
  • No Solicitation: Do not solicit tips or additional payments from passengers
  • Substance Use: Never operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to drive safely.

5. Handling Complaints

  • Professional Response: If a passenger raises a concern or complaint during the journey, address it professionally and try to resolve the issue amicably
  • Reporting Complaints: Encourage passengers to provide feedback or lodge formal complaints by emailing office@faithcars.uk
  • Ensure you also report any complaints to the office as soon as possible.

6. Compliance

  • Licensing: Ensure you hold a valid taxi driver’s licence and any other necessary certifications
  • Regulations: Comply with all local and national regulations regarding taxi services
  • Updates: Stay informed about and comply with any updates to Faith Cars’ policies or local transportation laws.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of your contract with Faith Cars. We appreciate your commitment to providing exceptional service and upholding the standards that define Faith Cars.
